Hello got my new computer and loving it btw!!

Only gripe i have which i havnt been able to fix is i have 2 external western digital hdd's installed and when i boot my computer up it hangs for 1 min or so, then hangs again on the vista loading screen while they turn off and turn on again. Is there anyway to have it so the usb ports dont go searching for the hdd's on boot.

Cheers guys.

I get this with myn, sometimes says "Insert Boot Disk and press Enter". I just take them out when i boot up, and put them back in again after. Sorry i'm not much help, if any1 else has a fix plz let us know.

It's so frustrating i cant really take mine out as they are plugged round the back, there must be a jumper or bios setting that can sort it surely?

My brothers p5q-e doesnt detect a bootable install/hdd if his is plugged in, have to keep it disconnected it booting his pc up.

My p55 dlx has no issues though.

Theres an idle timeout setting that appears in the bios for usb devices (if it detects your device) try chaning that
