Hi there,
I have just got the Asus router and set it up to use 2.4ghz for the wifi and my phone connects fine so thought all was well. Now I have got my dad visiting and he is trying to connect his laptops to the wifi and he can't even see my network. So after resetting the router the pc etc I glanced at the router and see that there is a blue light on next to the 5ghz but not the 2.4ghz. So is this indicating that it's using 5ghz and not 2.4ghz? I am assuming as it's using the 5ghz frequency the laptops can't use that frequency thus can't see the network? How do I fix this as it's got 2.4ghz in the wifi settings?
