Stock antenna are 4dBI and i get really good range. I also have a pair of 2.4GHz 5dBi Indoor Desktop Omni-directional Antenna TL-ANT2405C http://uk.tp-link.com/products/details/?categoryid=217&model=TL-ANT2405C

Thats 1 dBi gain over stock and does yeild a little more range.

The problem is with these 2 15 dBi's my range is half of what it was, no gain at all just pure loss!!!

Why?

Pete you would have been better with there 8dBi indoor antenna that fits on in place of the stock antennas.

These to get the performance need to be mounted vertical and AWAY in clear space from any objects. Mounting them so close to a wall will degrade the return loss to the wireless transmitters in the AP.

Awaiting for my cables too arrive but there RPSMA-N Females where to hand.

If i bang it up in the attic in the middle they will be okay and better?
