I'm having trouble with one of my Wii controllers. Whenever I press the A button having switched the console on, the lights just flash a couple of times then go blank. If I try to sync the controller pressing A & B then the lights flash for about 30 seconds and it fails to sync.

Has anyone else experiencecd anything similar or got any advice?

Cheers.

I had that problem once. I unplugged the wii and plugged it back in - seemed to solve it (never happened since).

Cheers mate. Good thinking.

New batteries, though. All four lights are flashing on the controller.

Maybe I'll have to get a warranty replacement.

Thanks for the unplugging tip. I'll give that a go..

Have you tried pressing the red button inside the wiimote next to the batteries.

There's also a red sync button behind the front flap, try that, hope it works for yu!

It's probably lost it's connection with the console, there are instructions to fix that come with the wii.

I had that problem a week or so ago, seemed to be caused by the missus turning on controller 2 before I used the normal one and it got its connection a bit haywire. Unplugging it restored it to normal :)

I know you've sorted it, but if it happens all you should have to do is turn the console on and then press the sync button on the Wii and in the Wiimote at the same time.

I tried that a number of times and it didn't work.

I then unplugged the power from the Wii, took the batteries out of the controller and put them back in, hooked the power back up to the Wii, turned it on and then the sync worked.

Bit weird, but at least it's working now.
