problem with wireless extender

I have just got a tp link wireless extender for the shop below me as in some spots the wireless is bad.
The shop has its own network with a small amount of broadband from my 200 meg line, I've tried setting the tp link up using the instructions but it won't connect via wps,is it because I have 2 wireless signals coning from my router ?

Running a cable is out of the question as my virgin hub is at the front on the shop (upstairs) and they have the wi-fi out the back of the shop,The floor between us is very well insulated with a thick ceiling downstairs.

I have got it working now,the wps on my router needed pressing for 5 seconds.

I work in the shop.
