Problem with z97x-gaming 7 gigabyte board

hi all,

just installed this board with a devils canyon 4ghx cpu. when i switch it on everything in the case starts up, graphics cpu fan etc. but after 4 secs or so it restarts and just keeps on doing this in a loop!?

any ideas?

any overclocks?

try with bare minimum,no hdd's/ssd's no gpu and only one ram stick installed

use mb igpu graphics

the machine doesn't boot, upgrade build.

check disconnecting everything and using hdmi onboard and checked motherboard is secure and evrything checks out.

i can just think its the cpu related?

carefully check the cpu socket for any bent pins,be carefull when looking not to damage any

look for any that look out of place or reflect the light differently

Try unplugging the Reset Switch connector and see if it still happens.

z97 should support dc out of the box (newer bios just uses a lower cpu voltage if I remember right)

its z87 that will need bios update

I've got this motherboard & cpu combo, bought back in Sept '14 and supported it out the box without any BIOS update.
