Can you post some close up pics of the whole socket?

well I can see atleast 4 pins, try and do one closer but without the flash, sorry to be a pain but wanna be sure

it will loop like that if any are damaged/misaligned

if they are damaged you need to rma the board

and about 5 in that one but its hard to see properly

if I were you id just box it up and request rma,you can fix them yourself but get it wrong and snap one off then they wont accept rma

when and if you get a replacement take care installing the cpu, just ever so carefully drop it into the socket

thanks for all your help. 100% sure the pins must have already have been bent, i'm ultra cautious.

since i'm in the middle of mass effect 3 time to reinstall my old motherboard!(similar socket(i7 920) but had no problems).
