I just bought a completely new rig but did not include a CD rom, just a DVD rom...
Will this mean I wont be able to install the likes as BF2 without it?

Sorry if this is common sense, just sort of confused...

hehe dont worry for example:

btw, just incase DVD rom drives werent able to read cd roms, BF2 is a dvd anyway
