Hey lads, well today I decided to clean out my PC of all the dust, etc. I took the heat sink off, cleaned that, put it back in, same with the graphics card, installed a new fan, installed more USB ports. But... Now when I turn my pc on, I get no signal from my monitor, it just stays on Stand-by. Everything is plugged in correctly, I've double checked that, I tried booting with out the new fan and new USB Ports but had the same problem, if anyone has a sollution I'd be extreamly greatful.
This isn't on my new system, this is on my old system, which I am meant to be selling tomorrow.

Thanks in advance.

When you say you put the heatsink back in, did you reapply thermal compound and clean the old stuff off?

Do you have another gfx to check? I'd take out and reseat all RAM sticks and gfx card again too.

I didn't clean off the old thermal compound, I didn't think that would make much difference, should I of cleaned it off and reapplied, would that make my monitor come off from standby?

I don't have another graphics card to check, but the graphics card seems to be working alright, it's powering up ok, and everything seems to be booting up fine, I'm just really stuck as to why my monitor won't come on when powering up. But thanks anyway guys, I'll try googling about this problem.

everything is in th correct place, I didn't take out the cpu, only the heatsink. I'm going to try a different monitor, see if that's the problem, although it seemed fine before, I've taken the ram out, cleaned it off etc and that's not helped, I'm going to take off the heat sink again and see if the CPU is in properly.

I've been told to reset my bios, but I'm not 100% on how to do that, so I'll ask my friend who's a PC whizz to do that, as I don't want to do something I'm not sure on
