Hi chaps I am at wits end and need of help and advice please.

just after chrimbo my h100i failed and i noticed my temp was at 97c then it cut out my pc. I didnt realize what the problem was at first.

I have since sent it back to oc for an rma and have had an email tro say its sent back to corsair.

I have fitted my old cooler master air cooler to see if there was any damage. At first all appeared fine however im getting constant pauses, crashing and i have even had a memory failure message pop up in which i had to hold power button to reset.

I have done some google searching but have come up with so many views i just dont no what to do so thought i would ask here..

I suppose my main question is would the failure of the h100i cause my problems or is it a coincidence?

my specs are as follows.

fx8350 stock clocks
msi 990fxa-gda80 mobo
8gb ram
r9 290 vapour x
evga 850 psu
250ssd
1tb hd

I only built the system end of september last year so its not even run in i cant even play fifa on it temp goes up and it crashes after 4 or 5 mins. i have had to revert back to xbone.

any advice or tips would be great

thanks in advance

clear the cmos fully?

leave motherboard battery out for 5 to ten minutes then try

download coretemp and set the overheat protection to 75-80c,it will auto shutdown the pc if those temps are reached in the future

the h100i comes with paste built in yea?

so have you used paste on the cpu with the air cooler?

i cant see it mentioned so this is total guess and jump.

yes buddy fresh paste. I think the h100i may have leaked on my mobo i have some marks looking like water or fluid of some kind

if you've had a leak you may have a faulty dimm socket/dimm
does bios/windows still show 8gb?
try moving mem to other pair of sockets
try 1 dimm at a time in each socket (may not boot from all sockets depends upon hardware)

just off the phone to oc customer help line they say it would be a faulty mobo. the only part i didn't buy from oc. if its the h100i that's leaked causing damaged then i have to contact corsair!!

great...
