Problems after Vista Update

After installing the latest vista updates and restarting, my mouse icon has vanished.

Only way to get it back is by doing a system restore. Does anyone know why or has had the same problem and knows a fix.

Yep it is a USB mouse, but I had to reinstall the driver to get the pointer back.

It's a bugger trying to navigate around with just the keyboard, especially when it came to ticking the user agreement box when downloading the driver.
