Hi all,

I have a bootable (customised) Windows XP CD which boots fine in my PC and my girlfriend's PC, but if I put it into her IBM ThinkPad it ignores it and goes straight through to booting from the hard disk. The strange thing is, Microsoft's Memory Diagnostic CD boots fine in the laptop!

Any ideas how I can boot from this particular CD?

How new is the laptop? it's definately a bootable CD and not a bootable DVD in a non-dvd drive?

If it's an older laptop try writing the CD at a slower speed, it might read it then.
