Hi all,

My cousin is having problems connecting her Playstation 3 to her Orange livebox.

Anybody else have issues with this?

Any advice?

The PS3 finds the Livebox but once the WPA code is entered it just says 'Cannot connect etc - Please check your WLAN security settings'

Thanks

That sounds like an incorrect passphrase or differing WPA modes. WPA can usually run in either AES or TKIP mode. Check that this is set the same on both devices then try again.

I'm having a similar problem with my wii, can connect to my vm wireless router (and can see it in the attached devices section) but for some reason it won't/can't access the net

That sounds more like it's not getting a default gateway.

The OP isn't getting that far from what i gather. My advice is try both AES and TKIP and see what happens. Also read the manual and see if the device supports DHCP or whether it can have a static address. Static addresses are probably better for consoles.

Hi Virdi

Don't forget you need to put the livebox into pairing mode first. If you press button 1 on the back of the livebox the wireless light on top will begin to flash for 10 mins, the livebox will then accept new wireless devices to be connected during that 10 minute window.

Hope that helps

Dave.
