points in the last 3 days ive had a problem where ive had a connection, but its been that poor that i cannot even load a web browser, i can connect to a tiny usage chat thing like xfire just about, but gaming and browsing ive had no chance, i went onto my netgear settings, as i said the connection is there, im geting my 7.6meg, allso when i do the command where it shows you how many packets you send and recieve its telling me im sending the same as i recieve so thats all fine.
im with aol, each time you ring them up you get a different answer so i tend to stay away form there helpline
im on the internet now and all is fine but i will turn my computer off tonight, and when i wake up it will be the same, i will not be able to browse or anything like that, its taken me 3 hours to get online, and i dont know how, ive just been messing about, i think its random though tbh, like today i restarted my router about 10 times, did a virus scan, restarted my computer 3 or 4 times, and it randomly came back on, and its been the same story for the past 3 days
i just dont know where to start to fix this problem, gotta be something to do with my computer tbh, but as i say i havnt a clue where to start, i have 2 ethernet ports ive tried them both so its not a bad connection in that sense, so the connection is getting to my computer, could it be a virus ?
but its fine now and it will be all night.....so a virus, i doubt it, im too confused
