Problems installing Vista and Win7

Using a Dell Optiplex 760 at work with XP Pro, 3gb and e7400 everything is fine and dandy, ive tried installing vista business and also RC win7 and both start to install fine but after the first reboot im given BSOD, NMI Parity Check Memory Parity Error or something, obviously seems like the ram but why would it work in and to install xp ok? Ive tried changing the hdd to ATA & ACHI with no difference?

Any ideas?

Try running memtest, that will test your ram.

Well it's unlikely but still possible that XP didn't hit the bit of the RAM that has an issue

hmmm left it running over the weekend 58 or so full passes and no errors, it does have 3 different brand sticks of 1gb ram (all same ratings tho) in but not throwing any errors up.............
