Hi all.
I've just finished my first build which I got through without any problems thankfully.
I have it running on XP home but went ahead and bought the student windows 7 upgrade with the backup disk in order to install it on my new build. This is where my problems start, at the point I thought would be easiest
I'm trying to install windows 7 through the disk MS sent me but I can't figure out how to install the bugger. I've tried running the disk with XP running, no luck as I assumed and have tried inserting the disk when booting up the machine again with no luck.
I then tried changing the boot menu so it booted from the cd-rom rather than the hard disk, again no luck.
Am there something glaringly obvious that I'm missing here? I always assumed modern OS' were fool proof but I'm not so sure.
Any help appreciated folks
