I'm trying to isntall XP Pro on a new netbook. I've tried with a USB DVD-RW and with USB flash drive and have no success. The Setup starts then after about 45sec it BSOD's with the following erro message:

"A problem has been detected and windoews has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer"

If this is the first time....

Check for viruses on our computer. Remove an newly installed hdds or hdd controllers. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hdd corruption and then restart your computer.

Technical Information
***STOP: 0x0000007B (0xf78d2524, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)"

Any ideas on here?

From a quick search with Google others have had the same problem. Although there seems to be various specific peculiarities depending upon system components the BIOS settings for the hard disks seems to be a common thread. Since you are trying to install and boot from a USB drive you may need to change BIOS settings from Raid, AHCI or whatever to something more appropriate.
