Problem's installing xp

Hello I'm having problems installing xp, Iv'e got boot from cd priority and harddrive second just so it start's installing.

Now when It's formatts harddrive I clicked "quick" so it does that then se's it's going to reboot and restarts the whole process again I.e wanting to formatt harddrive again?

So iv'e got a full format happening right now hopefully that will fix it?

Anything else I need to configure to make it work?

By the way this is on a freshly built computer

Once it has finished the file copying and restarts, do you press the button to boot from CD? If so, once it has restarted, just let it boot from HDD, not CD.

At the moment ive set it so it automatically boots from cd just so i could get it to start, so once its finished copying and restarts should i go into bios and make harddrive priority again?

Ive had this happen to me,to fix it i formatted the drive in another pc first then xp installed perfectly.

It's up and running now what A difference compared to old computer well chuffed

Just had to click full format rather than the quick one.
