Problems joining game channel chat on 360 Live

For some reason, I'm unable to join the game channel chat of Live games. Works fine for private chats but refuses to work with the public game channel. Can't hear my mates and they can't hear me.

360 is connected to a Linksys BEFSX41 Router. It passes all of the Network tests in the 360 dasboard but still refuses to work for the in game voice channel.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem as well, although in game chat worked for PGR3 i cant get it to work for GRAW. :confused:

Thats exactly the same problem I'm having!

Works fine in PGR3 when I set up a lobby and invite my mates.

Can't access the game voice channel in PDZ or GRAW and its really annoying!

You got the same router as me or something different?

Nope, i've got a Belkin wireless router. I dont have a clue what it is though thats causing this. I've been looking around all the options for a while and cant see anything to fix it :confused:

I might try directly connecting the 360 to my Cable modem and see if that cures it. If it does, then the router is to blame.

Few things you can also try from what I've read:

1. Give the 360 a static IP and set up DMZ to that address
2. Disable/enable UPnP
3. Disable the Routers Firewall
4. Disable NAT

Just connected the 360 directly to to my Cable modem and public voice channel still doesn't work! :confused:

RB506, you on NTL broadband? If so, what modem are you using?

Na mate i'm with Bt. I dont think it's the modem/router because the in game chat works for PGR3?

Are you on NTL?

I only ask, I'm not 100% at all, but I'm sure I've read recently about 'rumours' that NTL had blocked some of Lives features. Might be totally way off I know, but, well, y'know.

im on live via ntl direct con and voice is fine on Graw and all other games i tried

In my privacy settings I had communications setting to friends list only. Changed it to Everyone and its working fine.

Doh!

Must have got a bit paranoid when I first set up the 360 and set it to Friends list only.

and RB i'd change your Sig before a Don chases you.....It's waaaaaaay too big....Your only allowed a pic 400x75px
