Problems signing into Zune, Gmail Notifier

Hey guys,

Only just started having a few sign in issues this week which seem to be affecting my Zune software and the Gmail Notifier I use. They both simply refuse to log me in no matter what I try. I have tried disabling NOD32 (even thought I doubt it would be causing problems).

Neither of the programs seem to attempt to sign in at all really, they just kick out an error message instantly. I tried an alternate Gmail Notifier because I thought the troubles I was having were specific to the Google one, but this third party one can't sign me in either.

I have no trouble signing into any websites, including Gmail and Zune.net. Could it be problems with some certificate on the PC?

Well I appear to have fixed it.

After a bit more googling, I came across this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929642?sd=zune

I tried to reset the Windows Media DRM and it instantly let me sign into Zune again. The Gmail notifier works now too. I'm guessing something to do with Windows authentication wasn't working properly and this reset it. All working now

Google are forever changing the login protocols for GMail on the web, the FF addon I use is forever being updated to accommodate their changes.

Does yours check POP/IMAP or go in via HTTP?
