I am trying to unintall some OSS drivers from www.opensound.com that didn't install properly

i did this to install:
unzipped files to /tmp
cd /tmp
chmod +x oss-install
./oss-install

where oss-install is the name of a file
there is no 'uninstall' file
i think if it was a deb or rpm install i could do it but really not sure what need to do here

installing this broke my sound (soundcard no longer detected) and trying to reinstall the nvidia audio drivers didn't work and i got this message -
"ERROR: Unable to load the kernel module 'nvsound.ko'. This is most likely
because the kernel module was built using the wrong kernel source
files. Please make sure you have installed the kernel source files
for your kernel; on Red Hat Linux systems, for example, be sure you
have the 'kernel-source' rpm installed. If you know the correct
kernel source files are installed, you may specify the kernel source
path with the '--kernel-source-path' commandline option."

do i need to uninstall these drivers?

or can i somehow just reinstall the nividia drivers - but i don't understand from the error message what i need to do

yours confusedly
