Problems updating my iPod Touch

When downloading the 1.1.1 update, iTunes downloads the whole file (I assume so, the bar fills up anyway!) and once it has finished I get an error -

"iTunes could not download this update. There seems to be a problem with your network connection. Unknown error (-48)."

There isn't a problem with my network connection as all my other downloads are working fine. This happens whether I click 'Download Only' or 'Download & Install' when i'm prompted to update.

Been googling this for ages with no luck - can anyone help?

(BTW its an 16gb Touch, iTunes 7.4.3.1, Vista x86 (I know, I know!), if that helps?)

I think it is a common problem, not got an XP computer you can do it on?

shouldn't do as long as you set it sync manually for now and then change it back once you've updated it using the other computer.

When it asks you if you want to delete the library on it, just say no and you shall be fine.

Worked fine for me, as does my iTunes with Vista.
