Problems updating to iOS 5 time out connection

I keep getting this error message each time I try and update my iPhone 4 and iPad 2, I click download/update in iTunes the firmware downloads gets to over 99.9& then this error message pops up.

Anyone know why? :confused:

The Apple servers are being absolutely hammered right now. You will struggle to get it to update. Best to wake until America are "offline".

I really dont think that's the problem, I think it's to do with my hosts file, even though I tried changing that :confused:

There have been reported issues similar to what Burned Alive said. Try it early UK (7am-noon) and see if you have the same issues

Downloaded the firmware manually and shift/restored it. Had to do that on both iPad and iPhone tho.

I have tried twice and I get the same message. It seems to download somewhere but I get that message just before it goes to install.

Can anyone help?

Exactly my problem! So annoying...esipcally as iam on a slow BB line and once you download again you have to start the download from the beginning again :mad:

Where do you get the file to download manually. When I looked at the apple website, it just says to use itunes and I can't find another link unless I am blind.
