Problems updating using @bios X58 UD3R Win 7 64bit

I have a Gigabyte X58 UD3R rev. 1.0 mobo and have just tried to update the bios using @BIOS, @BIOS only offers bios updates for rev. 1.6 and 1.7 mobos when using "update from server".
I have manually downloaded F.11 (for the rev. 1.0) from the Gigabyte site and tied to update using "update from file" using @BIOS. @BIOS dosent recognise the file type as being correct so obviously cant do anything. The file name is X58 UD3R F.11 so it hasent even got a .bin file extension.
This is the first time Ive tried updating a mobo bios in Win 7 64bit so Im not sure if Win 7 is the problem.
The system was previously on XP64bit and I had no problems at all updating with @BIOS.
Anyone have any idea whats going on?

Does the board come with QFlash for flashing at boot-time from a USB device?

Yes it does come with QFlash.
I have several Gigabyte mobos (775) and have always just used @BIOS to upgrade, never had a failed flash, always just worked fine, so Ive never tried QFlash.
Just feel a bit let down that Gigabyte is no longer supporting the rev, 1.0 boards through update from server with @BIOS.
Will probably have to use QFlash to update unless someone knows how to do it with @BIOS.

i downloaded f5 bios from gigabyte then flashed from the hard drive, i think i used @BIOS to do that

The latest BIOS for the X58 UD3R is F5 from the gigabyte site, so I am unsure where you are getting F11 from (Possibly the EX58??)

Make sure you are running @BIOS as an Admin (Right-click run as Admin) if it isn't set up to do so

@BIOS only seems to shoe f4 availble for me, i went to the giga site and got f5
