I have 2 T220HD monitors, one i use as a digital tv and second screen when i need, id like to use it as a movie player to play films off my pc.

My graphics card is a GTX 260

Im having problems, some programs seem to decide to open up on the second screen for some unknown reason. (game loaders especially and XP stopped working error messages)

Also if i load a game it blacks the screen on the second monitor, there any way to avoid this? (ie play the movie and the game at the same time)

I was planning to buy a hard disk media player, but id rather not if i can get it to work as i want it to.

As i said its 220HD monitor, so it has all the usual video inputs and speakers, would i have more sucess some how takeing a video signal instead of just the DVI off my pc and using that instead?

If ppl have any ideas or software recommendations that would be great, i use VLC atm.

On a side note, how well do pc remote controllers work? do u havto have Media centre or can they work with XP pro? All im really interesting in is cycling through files off a specific hard disk and its folders, playing one. And also the ability to fully turn off my pc.

I saw the front panels on overclockers, they look pretty good, but how would they configure with a second monitor?

To stop things randomly opening up on the wrong monitor, I use ultramon. It remembers where you placed the window.

+1, ultramon is the most essential piece of software you can have if you're running multi monitors.

and to have games and movies running at the same time side by side you need to play the game in window mode.

ok im trying that now thanks, is it worth me uninstalling all the nvidia stuff while using ultra mon? will i get conflicts?

Ok, got it installed, seen options for desktop icons etc, and seen menu for remembering position of some menus(like properties on a shortcut etc) but i cant see the options for control the positions of VLC for example, theres nothing on the VLC program that has a menu for position/monitor settings, all i have is 2 buttons added to the top on to swop monitors one for maximise
