Problems Viewing Flash Video's

I'm having a problem with Chrome, my 7970 and flash videos. I'm not sure which one is at fault. The problem is the flash video stops, pauses and doesn't play. At most it plays for a few seconds then stops.

Any suggestions other than using a different browser?

Here's an example this will play part of the advert and then freeze, there is also no sound.

I just tried IE and it works fine in that. So i uninstalled chrome and re-installed it and it still hangs. Hmm

I heard its something to do with the 2d clock changeling this and flickering AMD need to sort this.
Regards

I found a solution, its an add on for Chrome that lets you view a tab in chrome as if you were using IE. Flash works using this method.

The add (should anyone else have similar problems) is called IE TAB.

i have an issue if i watch youtube videos, my whole pc jams up and the audio slows and becomes distorted, nothing to do with my gpu as it did it before i installed it. stoopid computers :P

I found out the problem after a day of trouble shooting. The problem lies with Chrome and Flash. Its a known bug although adobe consider it low priority so have not bothered to fix it yet. Anyway, for anyone having this problem try this.

Copy pasta this into a new tab in chrome

You should see two instances of flash. One of them needs to be disabled and suddenly flash videos and youtube videos will play correctly. My 7970 flickering issue seems to have vanished as well.

Disable one of those instances of flash (try them both, start with the older version first) and restart the browser then try it and see if it works. Rinse and repeat till you disable the buggy one.

yep , that fixed it for me too , thanks for the info ;)

I had a slightly different problem earlier today, but the same fix - full screen mode would display on my primary display no matter what, and in the resolution on what ever screen you open it on.

Excellent news. Glad its helped some others.

As for the 7970 flicker ive narrowed it down to when you change the power level with afterburner.
