Hi been running 2x256mb TwinMOS PC3200 with BH5 chips for the last three years in slot 2 + 3 perfectly. However I wanted to boost the speed of my system a bit so purchased 2x512mb Crucial Ballistix PC3200 off MM. I've just recieved the memory and it won't work in any slots. In slots 1+3 or 2+3 it just won't get past the initial memory test and in slots 1+2 it BSODs in windows. Each stick on its own though works fine in any slot.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi mate, board is set to max vdimm but I fail to see why the memory should not run at its rated speed at default volts so don't think that is the problem.

GT3, Ive had the same problem before when changing ram. The answer for me was to load optimized defaults, shut down, clear cmos, pull the ram and fit the new ram. Boot back to the bios, load optimized defaults, reboot to bios and set up. Clearing the cmos when swaping ram is a must on any NF2, lots of probs can and do happen if you fail to do it.

Cheers for that mate, I'm away from home atm so can't try but will give it a shot as well as updating the bios as I see there has been almost 20 bios revisions since the one on my mobo
