Problems with 3090ti paired with second GPU

I have a 6 monitor setup so I'm trying to use my 3090ti with a second gpu, however I can only get output from one of the two cards - never both. I've tried it with both a 1050 and 3050 but with no joy. I've tried every combination of putting in the cards one-at-a-time, driver re-installs etc but with no luck.

What is odd is that it worked fine with my previous 3090 (both are founders editions) and the cards aren't that different.

If anyone has had success with this then please let me know.

You need to wait for Nvidia to release the new drivers, not just the ones that use only the 3090ti that they released when the card came out, it only supports the 3090ti, that is the problem you are having. Right now the 3090ti drivers only support it and no other card, once the new drivers are out all previous nvidia cards will have support again.

For the time being, you may be able to use the integrated GPU in your intel CPU if you have one. What CPU do you have?

As above, it looks like you need to wait for Nvidia to update the drivers to include other GPU models.

Assuming your CPU does have an IGP, looking up the board you do have a HDMI port on that. Combined with the 3090 Ti's 4 monitor output, that's 5 monitors in total. You could use that while you wait or if it's really needed as the others have suggested, an AMD card.
