Okay, this is a very well known issue by now, but no where has had a guarenteed official fix - the vertical grey line crash.
I've followed every link, every possible solution for months now, and I'm fed up. I own the XFX 5770 HD 1GB card, first month, fine, no problems, and since (almost a year) it will crash upto 15-20 times a day, from maximizing a video, to starting a game, browsing a site, alt-tabbing, anything.
Temps are fine, no air flow restrictions, drivers all upto date, even took it to, yes, a shop - they were just as stumped.
I feel like I wasted a great deal of time, and although not an expensive card, I wasted £130, at the time. XFX support simply said, driver's not upto date, blah blah. It's not..
Do I RMA the card, to have it returned because under tests it's completely fine? I had tests already done at the shop. It's a common problem with as far as I know, windows 64-bit, but I'm not altering my OS for a graphics card, that has potential to also crash on other OS's.
I'm at my wit's end now, and would be very grateful for any help/assistance..
