Problems with 8800GT 512 OC

When i play games sometimes the screen becomes blocky the cursor for shooting games and screen becomes white i had it with oblivion just now.

Its annoying what is it doing that my graphics card is new its an 8800GT.

Could be overheating, id check the temps.

Decent air movement through case? Which case have you got?

Check GPUz or RivaTuner and check temps and report back.

I installed rivatuner and the temps are on 62 im outside in oblivion.

I worried because my system is new i left this program on in my gigabyte motherboard its called robust graphics booster it was set to extreme and i read it really overclocks the **** out of you gpu and i got a few crashes im just worried if it has messed up my new graphics card.

It seems fine now temps seem fine.

Why do i need to check GPU-Z? i am new to all the temp checking and that.

My case it not brill only 1 fan keeping things call which is a side window fan processor runs hot 40 or so and system temp is 40 odd.

Maybe the case is the problem.

Even if the case isn't great, as you say, the load temps on your card are well within spec.

I wouldn't worry about that oc programme, it cannot permanently damage your card unless you have been running it 24/7 for an extended period which you haven't by the sound of it.

Yes but i had it a coupld of times so now to me something is wrong and its on my mind i get funny like that my pc had been on for over 10 hours when it happened it could have been a number of things i guess.

If you have room for other fans, get some fitted. Fans are so cheap & quiet theres really no reason to leave your components hot in there.
