Our office has three alocated spaces in what is a shared car park with a restaurant, beauty salon and a couple of clothes shops.

The entrance to the car park is big enough for a car to be park on one half of the entrance. However, if the car isn't parked as close to the kerb as possible it near enough makes one of our spaces impossible to get to.

We've asked a number of times if they would stop doing it and they won't. If I hit the car parked there getting in and out am I 100% liable?

Leave a note on the car.

Hi i hit your car today.... But dont worry there is no damage, but FFS move over next time

Leave a note saying if you park again the car will be clamped.

We've sent a letter to all the shops pointing out that they will be clamped. Our clamper only turns up when he wants to. Good fun though when he does.

if you own it then they park there on your terms

This is what I'd like to think should happen but I doubt it. Be nice to just say "you were told not to park there because of the risk of damage and now its happened tough luck!"

If you already have a contract with a calmping company, phone them when the car is parked there?

We have similar problems with people trying to use our car park.

If its your private car park then the normal highway rules do no apply as it is classed as private land i.e you can ram their car then drive off and the police can do nothing, insurance companies wont get involved and the cars owner can only take you to criminal court for criminal damage
