Problems with a software installation !!!

I have four PC's in the house and one I'm working on for a mate.
When you put the disk in the drive of my 4 machines the installation on the left comes up.
When I put the disk in my mates machine the picture on the right comes up.
So far I've exited everything on the taskbar, tried to install from SAFE MODE and done a XP Repair from DOS but the machine still shows the picture on the right.
The only thing I haven't done is a totally new installation of XP (last resort).
Could there be some dll's etc missing from Windows that are needed for this installation?

perhaps the installer is using flash as a frontend? try re-installing the flash browser plugin on your mates pc.

I'll try that Marc2003.

The owner has just told me that when he first tried to install it an error message came up and all he could remember in it was e++ and Terminate Program.
Now I think he means C++ which could mean there are some core C++ things missing off the drive? - maybe?
