My MS 6000 v2.0 battery died for the first time last night, I replaced it and since then although I have reconnected it, the keys don't fuction correctly, I've reinstalled the drivers this morning and still no go.

All the media functions are working ok but very little happens when I hit the letter keys, occasionally a key will cause an unexpected result, eg U will bring up

And M moves the cursor down one line, B will bring up:

I'm sure it me being an idiot and pressing the wrong thing somewhere along the way but I can't for the life of me find out what it is.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

-edit (the missing examples are tags that obviously won't show up) so as I say, let's not be hastly and rule out sheer stupidity :)

From what you describe about what the keys are doing it looks like some sort of alternative keyboard function is on, like some keys doubling up to provide keypad functions, should be a key to turn off this alternative function.

Sound about right.

No idea which one though, I've pressed 'em all:D

I found an incredibly technical solution to my problem or most of it, I got the palm of my hand and belted some keys and held some down, hey presto it works again, however If I press comma now, I get<

??

-edit-That'll be number lock then, well, I'm off to push on a door that says pull for an hour or so.

Cheers.
