Problems with ATi Drivers (BSOD)

since last night i have had a bout 4 BSOD's while gaming which have all stated something about one ati driver, thing is everytime its done it its been different driver that it has complained about.. this has been with 7.1 through to 7.4

if i install older ones 6.9 through to 6.12 then it BSOD's before i even get into windows.

also fan speeds to started playing up, i use ATi Tray Tools to set them and they are definately not at what i set them to be...

any help???

Uninstall ATT, driver clean the drivers in safemode.

Install just the latest drivers, not CCC.

Reinstall ATT.

should do the trick..

done that, still having problems with it and its still complaining about ati drivers as the cause...

Final thing to try is a windows reinstall, if that doesn't work, somethings had it, could be CPU, mem or Graphics card

I had that probelm a while back, tonns of BSOD's, some stuff just point blank refused to uninstall. Turned out to be a corrupt HDD...

yeah, had kinda the same thing here, not sure what the final blow was that cured it,but i know one of the final things that i did was to reset the bios and make sure that there was not clocking of any sort going on, just let it default.

hmm im with you on the bios thing...

recently tried changing the clock of my cpu and it goes nuts, will blue screen unless its at the settings i had it at since i setup xp on it. and when it blue screens it complains about anything, a lot of the codes it gave were with reference to the BIOS, doing trouble shooting earlier on possible conflicts it said about the BIOS possibly being outdated or incomplete and no you've said it, but i have got the latest BIOS and i have re-installed it

i may re-install but dno if ill stay on XP it is getting old and Vista does look nice but i would loose a lot of features such as my ultramon taskbar and i remember game performance being really awful last time i was on it.
