Problems with BF4 stuttering

Hey all.
I am having an issue on Battlefield 4, where it runs fine then randomy goes into stuttering. The stuttering lasts 10 seconds then runs fine, before stuttering again 30-60 seconds later.
If the game is rebooted it seems to solve it.
Tried without overclock and issue still present.
I can go days without it, or it can ruin the gaming session every day.

SSD has 4-6GB left on it and never fully full.
CPU never at 100%.
Video drivers up to date.
Any ideas? I am totally stuck!

Could it be the server and/or your connectivity hanging?

If my internet plays up all players freeze so don't think it is that

I often get killed during the problem phases.

Then Punkbuster perhaps?

I haven't had Punkbuster related issues with BF games since BF2 Bad Company.....but, PB used to cause a lot of strange performance issues with BF games in the past. Perhaps you are one of those that need to mysteriously manually update PB, for some reason.

Since the last update on bf4 i have been getting ocassional micro freezes 1 to 2 seconds long almost every round when i am using mantle i have not tested dx11 since the update to verify it is ok. Something definately messed up for me since the update.

RAM usage? I remember mine was hitting all 8GB before I upgraded to 16

I have 12gb though, i'll check usage next time to be sure

8 gig of RAM shouldn't be an issue at all. Plays perfectly on mine.

I have 16GB ram.

I have updated AMD video driver (doubtful this will help) and manually installed Punkbuster and updated it.

Well the issue is still there. Currently checking CPU loads whilst playing to ensure it isn't reaching 100%.

I read a couple of posts suggesting to add exclusions within your AV software for the battlefield/origin/punkbuster applications - maybe that's worth a try.
