Hello,
I have a few problems with my BT Broadband connection. I'll give a brief description of my connection and then the issues in bullet points.
I'm on an 8MBPS connection using the BT HOME HUB. I am connected via ethernet. I live in Stoke-On-Trent, and am quite far from the exchange, so at peak hours I usually get 1MBPS, and after midnight about 2MBPS.
The problems:
1) Every so often my internet will disconnect and a new speed will be given to me. This happens usually at 4PM & 5PM & 8PM & 6AM. I have contacted BT several times to no prevail. It is really annoying as these are causing me difficulties for personal reasons in which I need to keep a stable internet connection.
2) Slow internet speed. When I use my BT Voyager 300 modem I get 3MBPS at peak hours, but with my BTHUB connected via ethernet I only get 1MBPS-1.8MBPS...
The main problem is number one, the constant disconnects. I understand it's most probably a problem on mine or BT's end, but I'm just wondering if theirs anything I can do at all to try and solve the problem : >
I'd appreciate any help for my 1st problem, and I understand my 2nd problem most likely isn't cureable. Cheers
