Problems with BT Broadband Option 3

I've just gone onto Option 3 today. Was promised 8Mb (was 2Mb) speed and unlimited downloads bla bla.

I haven't noticed a huge increase in speed. The most I can seem to max out in uTorrent is 230 kB/s. After 6 o'clock I can't seem to download 20 kB/s then goes up to around 40 near 11 (now) Has anyone else noticed that their connection hasn't gotten any faster?

I take it the post 6 o clock slowdown is Torrent throttling. I realise there's not much I can do about this but I usually leave my computer on at night and want to make sure I'm at least getting the speed I'm paying for at night.

They still haven't sent me the Hub Phone either. Going to sell it anyway.

You are still in the 10 day period for ADSL Max. Wait it out 10 days and then see how it runs.

Sorry, don't understand what you mean 10 day period for ASDL Max? The guy said something about be being on that.

IN the first 10 days when you have re-graded onto an ADSL max service (Up to 8mb) the maximum stable rate your line can support is determined by the exchange and as such while these tests are run the line and speed is unstable for 10 days.
