Problems with central locking

This morning when i press my key fob to lock the car it locks then unlocks
itself. Also when i lock it by key it will only lock the drivers door and not all of them. Anyone had this kinda thing happen? Is it a case of simply changing the battery in the key fob?

It could be that your car battery is on it's way out or even flat.

Sticking central locking solenoid perhaps?

my car (peugeot) does that when one of the doors is not closed properly, sounds stupid i know and im sure you have thought of it, but you never know

My old 1.4 Pug 306 XL did exactly the same thing... I think it worked out due to a poor design where the central locking cables got worn out between the door and the bottom of the a-pillar.

I stripped mine down, but never bothered fixing it as it was a real PITA.

Went to the citroen dealer, they said it may be a problem with the locking motor or even the wiring. He gave me a quote of £120 parts and labour :eek:
