So first of all I purchased 2 Dell U2414H's as I already own a U2312HM but I wanted a dual-screen setup (I would have bought another U2312HM but they have been discontinued). So the first pair arrived and one had severe backlight bleeding whilst the other was tinted yellow in all preset modes, so Dell kindly sent me a new pair. One of them is still tinted yellow in all modes but custom colour, where it seems to be fine (for now). However, the other one is as if it has a grey sheet layered on top, so I am now trying to reach Dell in order to get a replacement. Fair play to them even though I didn't purchase directly from Dell, but I wouldn't have expected such poor quality in these monitors from a company like Dell. I have emailed again and will wait for a response, but I may just return all (now 4) U2414H's I have as this is not right. It's a pain because they have the potential to be great monitors but the production of them is awful.
Here's an image of the problem on the new pair, which was taken from the built in diagnostic mode which overrides any GPU settings/driver settings, so I know it's the monitor for sure:
Has anyone else had similar problems with Dell/the U2414H? It's strange because the majority of reviews elsewhere are 4/5 star, so would be nice to know if someone else has experienced the same as me.
Also, any other recommendations for monitors around £200 which are good in a dual screen setup and are consistent would be helpful as I may not bother trying another pair of monitors, as the same outcome is likely to happen.
Many thanks.
