Hi,

just switched the power off for the night, and when i returned this morning to turn it all on again my router doesn't seem to want to display the lan port light (the numbers on the front of the router). The Wireless connection works fine, internet is working. But I cannot connect via lan:confused:..

I have tried switching it on and off again, rebooting, resetting to factory defaults. Nothing has worked to bring the LED light back when I plug a Lan cable into one of the ports.

tried 3 different cables, don't think the sockets are dead because they all light up when the router reboots.

No I can't return it, had it for a few years now!

One last-ditch thing you could try is reflashing the router with a different firmware. May brick it doing it over wireless but you've not got much to lose I guess :/

wierdest thing:

When I tried to do what you said, I thought hang on I will disable my lan adapter on the pc and re-enable to see what happens. Strangest thing... it worked, now I can connect via Lan-cable.
:confused::confused:

Ah, so it was a PC issue and not your router.

I should've read your original post more thoroughly..I thought it said that LAN in general on the router is knackered.

Congrats on it working again anyhow :)
