Problems with epson workforce printer being recognised on network and by pc

...as title. I can only connect this printer on a guest network wi-fi setting and windows 7 still will not recognise this printer so as to enable it to work and the necessary drivers to be installed. Router is a net gear dual channel. Operating system win 7. Thank you.
 
Epson workforce covers a fairly large number of devices, what model is yours?

It presumably came with a quick start guide. Which stage did you get stuck at?
 
Download drivers from epson website, not sure why you can only connect to guest network, does the printer support things like WPA2?
 
Yeah it supports wpa (push and pin) which I used and though I get a green light on the printer for using these, it still remains unrecognised by the network. When it's showing on the guest network it's drivers fail to ascribe it a recognised ip.
 
Will do this next time I am in the office. I neglected to mention I am also running a TP Power Line link from this room to another (but wouldn't necessarily assume this could be the problem).
