Since moving to a dual-core cpu, i can't get fear to play right. First there's no sound, i tried turning EAX on and off but it made no difference, other games are fine. Also when i start the game it runs too quickly, at the start when your in the car my guy gets stuck on a bit of scenery, and the car carries on but i get left behind. I can run around and its really quick but i can't actually start the level. I've patched it and set it to use 1 core in task manager.

Anyone else had any problems?

Got no codec packs installed, its a fresh copy of windows. I've tried everything i can think of, reinstall, original version/latest patch, tried messing with the settings. Nothing works, also i get sound in the menus but nothing in game.
