Problems with Firefox

I installed FF3 yesterday and I'm having a couple of problems with it, not sure what to do. Firstly, whenever I open FF a window appears with the FF icon and a folder icon (this first appeared when I downloaded and installed FF but it keeps popping up every time I open FF) then the browser window appears on top of it. How do I stop this little window popping up? Sorry if that's a bit of a silly question, I'm new to Mac OS.

Secondly, FF's dictionary is stuck on American English does anyone know how/if I can change it to British English?

Didn't realise I hadn't actually installed it as I was still able to run the application.

Just installed the British English Dictionary but FF's still using American English. I think the current version only supports FF2, not 3.

I don't think WMP works with Macs, might have something to do with it.
