hey just bought one of these as i found is discounted in town ad hooked it up to my laptop and installed everything. did the auto tune...... but at first could only get a few bbc channels and then loads of radio stations, tried moving the provided ariel about abit but didnt improve anything, tried it again now about 5 hours later and i have a few more bbc channels but still havent got half the ones it says on the box such as itv2 E4 five, TMF etc etc... i did try plugging it into the ariel socket in the wall but didnt pick up aything so guessing that ariel is too old....
just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and how they solved it, like is there any way i can boost the signal to get more of the channels i should be recieving? i live in swansea in southwales if anyone knows where to look to find if i have liited area or something?

also i have been trying to find what frequencies each freeview channel is so i can try putting it in manually but cant find them aywhere :(

oh yea, i sometimes connect a tv via the s-video on my laptop to watch films and such because of its bigger display, but then i try and connect it when the Nova is runing, once the desktop is extended over the screen just goes blank in the viewing window for wintv any ideas?

any ideas people?

i got one of those for christmas
the product itself is fine
but it is badly supported and the included software is buggy and unreliable in xp and vista

i tried scanning using 'nero home', xp media centre and vista media centre

all 100% more reliable than the wintv software

but still no signal with either my £60 signal booster or the main aerial

i live a three minute walk away from a tv transmitter and have excellent signal at all times.

this product is a bit naff

my solution was that i took it back to the shop
and said that it didnt to what it says on the package

got my money back and got a game instead

my solution was to

oh and using the stick in vista makes the screen blue and crash 80% of the time
therefore - not vista compatible [or not vista reliable at least]

so the shop had to take it back

my nova-t has been perfect

i only use the media centre drivers (found them through the faq in their forums)

I've got a nova-t stick in Swansea, it works fine just don't use the supplied aerial, I bought a cheap £5 indoor job, you can get them with built in boosters for around £10, look in the market.

I just use the drivers from their main website in Vista and get all the channels, I'm in Brynmill.

What I do find is that you have to turn the aerial around to point in a different direction to get some channels to work.
