Problems with Hisense 55U7A functionality

Hi there.

My Hisense has always a bit temperamental when it comes to YouTube not working.

However, YouTube, Amazon and Netflix appear to have stopped working altogether.

Has anyone else had any issues with Hisense TVs?

I had a new Hisense a few months ago and returned it due to the software instabilities. It would reset its settings and often crash when using apps. A hard reset didn't work all the time. SPent more and went for a Sony XH95 instead.

You could try a Firestick if you have one and use that as your source rather than TV apps.

I agree.

The TV, itself, is really great value but the Smart bit is really poor - very out-of-date and buggy.

I think I will just get a smart device, as recommended, and use that. Do you think a Firestick is preferable to the Google TV device?

Yeah, they don't really support their TVs that well a few years after release.

Firestick if you want it to be your smart device, chromecast if you want your phone to be the actual hub.

Thanks - is that the case, even with the new Chromecast that has the remote?

Firestick or the Google TV with remote. Can't go wrong with either but you will get more apps on the Google device it that's your thing. I'm using an ATV 4k but have Firesticks on other TV's.
