Hi,

I have a Linksys WRT54GR and a Sony VAIO laptop which runs a Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG card. Lately I keep getting kicked off my wifi network routinely and im about ready to throw this thing across the room.

It's never happened until about a week ago. Basically the wifi status says its still connected but I can't load any sites, they all hang. I can't ping my gateway either.

On the router, I've tried rebooting (Both the router and the modem) multiple times. I've reset the routers settings. And I've tried flashing the router with an updated firmware.

On the laptop I've tried reconnecting to the wifi network multiple times. Disconnecting and reconnecting the connection seems to work for a bit, but then it happens again after a few minutes. I've disabled/enabled the card, reinstalled the drivers from the ones on Sony's website, and I've tried other wireless networks. It happens to them too, secured or unsecured.

I've not changed any major system settings in the last couple of weeks that I know of. I've even run a virus scan on my system to check that it wasn't something like that causing it. That annoyed me as I've never needed to run a virus scan or install scanner software in my life. No viruses, trojans, worms, or spyware found (AVG Free).

Does anyone else have any ideas? :(

EDIT: Forgot to mention, this is the only machine its happening on. All my other machines are fine. And just for good measure I've run virus scans on them too and nothing has turned up.
