I got this motherboard a few days ago and I've had many problems with it.
When I installed my RAM, it would not boot with over 2GB and if I tried to put any more in, it would simply beep at me. Since I was running Windows 7 I found this quite a let down in performance.
So I decided to flash the bios to see if that would help.
I followed asus support on how to flash your BIOS using Ez flash and downloaded BIOS version 1102.
I then formatted a USB in FAT16, copied the bios file into it. Restarted my computer went into BIOS, Tools, Ez Flash. Flashed my BIOS using 1102.bin.
Everything went smoothly during the Flash and no errors occurred. Yet the only way I can get my computer to boot now is to leave the battery out for 20 minutes, even then I get a blue screen not long after logging into Windows. And to get into BIOS i have to leave the battery out for hours for my motherboard to discharge.
I emailed Asus and they said if it doesn't boot after resetting the CMOS its a faulty bios chip.
My problem is that it does boot but once I shut down my computer or blue screen, it doesn't boot again.
I emailed them back saying this and they said I need to contact my reseller.
I only want to take the motherboard back at a last resort.
Is there anything else I can try before sending the Motherboard back?
