Problems with Media Center ed..

Hi,

Im having some trouble with xp Media Center edition on my HTPC.

The system consists of the following :-

Asus P5B
E2140 (std clock)
1Gb Team Xtream DDR2
x1950pro

The system is plugged into a Full HD 42" Tosh 1080p TV via a DVI to HDMI converter.

When you display the normal xp style desktop @ 1920x1080@50hz, all is good, but as soon as i go into media center mode, there is approx 1" of black screen all round the display, i've tried altering the refresh rate and also upgraded the video drivers to the latest version but to no avail

Does anybody have any ideas ?

I don't know about media centre, but my media player does that if i'm not in Fullscreen mode. The window is on maximize, but i still have to right-click it and select fullscreen!?!

have you tried setting up the TV in media center? it gives you the option to change the resolution, I've never needed to change this myself though.
