I'm a c# developer and just been tasked with looking into an issue on a clients website - so am a little out of my comfort zone here!
One of the functions on the site merges PDFs using FPDF/ FDPI - the latest batch of PDFs are failing to merge with an error of FPDF "Error: Unable to find xref table"
I have looked at a sample of the PDFs and found them be PDF Version 1.7 vs the previous ones which are Version 1.5. If I open one of these 1.7 PDFs and print it using cutepdf it comes out as 1.4 PDF and that merges happily.
Advising the client to use an early PDF type is not really an option.
I'm looking for the least painful way to get the 1.7 PDFs to merge here, and have found this;

I would rather find a way that didn't involving spending money on such a solution though but also the solution needs to quite simple to implement else it'll end up costing a fair whack of my time.
