problems with msn,possibly a "virus" ?

For some reason i seem to be getting flooded over msn with various users issuing the following message :

The xxxxxx varies slightly but the general message is always the same, run a virus (nod32) and spyware/adware check with nothing found.

uninstalled msn, deleted any msn folders i could find, re installed and still getting it, anyone come across it before ?

there coming from different people, but no one i know just random hotmail accounts.

it doesnt coincide with anyone on my friends list signing on either :(.

only option i can see is something along the lines of not accepting requests, wouldn't really want to do that as forums im on get to know people and add them, they add me and wouldn't like to lose that, but i might have to as its getting annoying.

got to the stage that when i go get a cuppa, come back and i can have half a dozen of the things popping up :mad:.
